Is it possible to Purchase and replace iMac 27" LCD panel?

I have an option to buy an i7 iMac 27 for pretty cheap. The Glass panel and LCD are damaged and would need to be replaced. Does Apple sell these parts separately and if so, how much would they cost? Thanks!!!

Thirty minutes of web searching netted nothing on parts for this baby. I would get a quote from an Apple Authorized Service Provider before buying or be prepared to sit on it a while till parts become available.

An external monitor will work till parts are available. That screen is not going to be cheap!

The only real source I could find was 'macservice'/myservice.com. They are suggested by Apple for non warranty work apparently. They don't have a price listed for the iMac 27 but the iMac 24" screen replacement costs $895 so go figure how much the 27" will cost. I plan to contact them on Monday and will report back what I hear. Thanks!!!

myservice.com will do it for $950. They will not sell the parts. So if a vendor for the parts could be found a do-it-yourselfer could probably do it for less. So far I have not been able to find a parts supplier.

MacPalace had the 27" panels listed.....around $700 IIRC. Looks like $300 with exchange part.....and another $100 or so for the glass.

wow, at that price you may as well buy a new machine. I would suggest looking on ebay for a damaged 27" with a good screen, probably be cheaper than buying a screen alone.

Update

this guy has new 27" iMac LCD panels and glass at reasonable prices... He's also listed some B grade and C grade stock, but I would ask about the condition of B/C grades as that could mean anything really. I mean his standards for B grade could be a lot worse than my definition of B grade. Anyway, worth a peek.
