power adapter jack a1139

My factory power supply is fine. POS ex wife tripped over the thing so many times the barrel-connector at the end finally wore out right at the connection. i'm on a tight budget and can solder another on if there's a replacement available (pref with wire leads in place). do you guys have any idea where to run one down?

Haha....no, I meant what you think. I think 1/2 the time she did it on purpose! ;-) I think you misunderstand, I mean just the little lighted barrel-gonnector on the end of the power adapter. I broke free from the wiring and the connection is bad somewhere in the little chip set that makes it light up. Surely....lots of folks have had this happen....hence, the mag-safe stuff on the MacBooks, huh?

So, any idea where to get that type of barrel-connector that I can splice onto the end of the power adapter?

Thanks Markus, Matt

The easiest way would be replacing the dc-in board:

[producto vinculado inexistente o deshabilitado: IF155-065]

depending on your soldering skills and the the condition it might be possible to solder the old one in - if that won't work - maybe you should search the part on ebay

and btw - i hope you meant "princess of sheba" with POS ;-)
