i recently got a iphone 4s from craigslist. the problem is it does not vibrate. check the switch, switch it on and see on screen of vibrate but it does not vibrate. My question is this: is this usually just getting a new vibrator? any possibility of problem with the motherboard? thanks

Yes, the iPhone 4s vibrator do go bad. It is an incredibly easy fix and takes very basic knowledge to replace.
