I just recently replaced my LCD screen on iPhone 4s Now there are faint horizontal lines on the display. I see them thru the keys in the keyboard, in the background on safari, and on some game apps. The lines are different shades of whatever the background color is. Everywhere else the screen looks fine. Bad LCD? Bad connection? Any suggestions?

I just replaced my wife's screen and same issue. I think its going to be an issue with a faulty LCD screen.
However is the LCD is not screwed down properly on the l and r sides where there is 3 screws on each side this can actually cause problems with the touch screen.
I'm no expect but when I replaced my screen I had some problems with it and made sure the screws were all tight (1 wasn't) this seemed to help. But that problem wasn't lines thou the screen.
I am going to take my wife's phone this weekend and re seat the connectors on the logic board and check all the screws to see if that helps.
I'll update what my findings are as soon as I can.

Sorry I couldnt respond more when I had planned to. Ive been trying to get my wifes phone so I could look at it but she wouldnt give it up. Now something happened and here screen dosent work at all so I got a chance to tear it down turns out the lcd screen was faulty. You still might want to make sure that the 3 screws on eace side with the washers are installed properly I noticed that 1 of the washers was actually behind the lcd clip not in front this couldve caused some issues. Anyways I hope you had better luck.
I found the problem. My LCD is faulty I did my friends phone and that phone too has horizontal lines. DON'T BUY FROM CHINA. Dont buy lcd from www.yoyobase.com. No customer service and no response to multiple emails.

My iPhone 5c has 5 vertical lines only on the right side and i cannot use that side at all any suggestions on what it might be or how to fix it?

your problem is the connection or a bad LCD, first you should try with other LCD and if it fails again then check the motherboard connectors.

Yeah that was my next step. I'm am going to take all the connections off and clean them. See if that helps. I'm not having any trouble with the touch screen tho, just the lines in the display. Ill keep u posted
