If the shutter on your Kodak Signet 35 isn't working properly, then the shutter spring may need to be cleaned or replaced. This guide will show you how. Please make sure you have all the necessary tools, as well as a clean and stable surface on which to work, before you start these steps.

While the camera is lying on its back, unscrew the front lens assembly and remove the lens and the faceplate. Then lift off the speed setting.

Remove the lever from the stopper by pushing it back and then upwards.

Using tweezers, unhitch the spring from the base and remove it by lifting upwards.
