Unresponsive Power Button/Frozen Screen

The phone does not turn on when the power button is pressed.

Requires a Restart

The phone’s frozen screen could also be due to all of the RAM being used up. To reset the phone, press and hold the volume down and the power button at the same time. Using the volume down button, select the factory reset option and press the power button.

Note that doing this will clear the phones memory and reset it back to the default factory settings.

Faulty Power Button

After repeated use the power button may cease to function and may need to be replaced.

Faulty Circuit Board

The phone uses a grid of infrared LED sensors in order to register a person's touch. It is possible that the circuit board is faulty and needs to be replaced. For replacement of the circuit board refer to the motherboard replacement guide for assistance.

Battery Won’t Hold Charge

The phone's battery drains quickly and is slow to charge.

Faulty Charger

The phone might not have received a full charge because of a faulty charger. According to Amazon, the HTC One X+ takes about 4 hours to charge, so try switching out your charger with a different one to see if you experience the same issue.

Faulty Battery

If the battery becomes too hot it may expand. This may cause the phone to warp and lessen the amount of battery life. If this is the case, the battery could be faulty and may need to be replaced. If the phone charges at a very slow rate it could also indicate a battery in need of replacement. Please refer to the battery replacement guide for assistance.

Problems With Audio Output

You have trouble listening to sounds on your phone.

Faulty Headphones

If sound distortion or no sound occurs, try a different pair of headphones to verify it’s the headphones. If it occurs with the headphones removed it could be a software issue.

Loose Headphone Jack

If sound issues occur intermittently, the headphone jack could be loose or faulty. If the headphone jack is faulty, replacement of the motherboard will be necessary. Please refer to the motherboard replacement guide for assistance.

Discolored Screen

The phone’s screen is discolored.

Screen Burn-in

If the screen is discolored or there is a ghost image burnt into the phone's display you can download a screen burn-in app from the android store. It will run a sequence of primary colors to restore the burnt pixels.

Faulty Display

If the screen is discolored after a fall, it is likely that the screen is faulty and needs to be replaced. Please refer to the screen replacement guide for assistance.

Unresponsive Wireless Connection

The phone will not display the wifi symbol and web pages will not load.

Wifi is Not Enabled

Verify the phone's wireless connection is enabled.

Router or Modem Issues

If you still cannot connect to Wifi then you may be experiencing problems with your router or modem. First turn off your phone then turn off your router/modem wait 30 seconds then power the router/modem back on and see if your phone connects.

Faulty Circuit Board

If the Wifi on the phone is still unresponsive, the circuit between the Wifi antenna and the circuit board may be broken. It can be reconnected by pressing the back of the phone or by soldering the connection back. If replacement of the antenna is needed, please refer to the antenna replacement guide for further assistance.
