Mi Problema

The ear piece volume was greatly reduced. Had to use speaker phone for calls

Mi Solucion

Almost perfect. I put it all back together and the center of the display would not respond to touch. Took it apart again and found the piece of black tape in step 22 got into the socket of the digitizer plug (it must have g . . .

Mi Problema

The power button in the iPhone 4S wasn't working and the earpiece speaker when I stopped working

Mi Solucion

both repairs failed. The button itself wasn't the issue it was the part that pushed up against it and the speaker didn't work out either. The button itself is just a hard piece of metal no issue with it . . .

Mi Problema

Cracked panels, front and back. Bad ear piece speaker, bad power button

Mi Solucion

The repairs went extremely easy considering I have never repaired any type of phone. I purchased an IFIXIT tool kit from Radio Shack. That is how I found you guys. My parts came in on time and repairs took place. One phone I had . . .

I had replaced the front panel assembly before on this device and sometime in that I assumed I must have messed up the ear speaker during that. For awhile I just lived with it and used speaker phone or a headset but the time came to trade it in to the store for an upgrade and I had to get everything . . .

Mi Problema

Part 1 was replacing the broken screen, but after I put it back together and turned it over I remembered that the home button does NOT come with the kit. I was not about to take that whole thing apart again without an other reason. Just so happens that the power button was not working and I could . . .

Speaker went out

Mi Solucion

I was successful but forgot a part and had to disassemble

Mi Consejo

lay out a large piece of paper and label parts by step. If you can afford it get the magnetic mat. Wear nitrile gloves so you don't have to clean the connections.

Mi Problema

Powerbutton defect

Mi Solucion

The repair went well, following the repairmanual from iFixit. The most tricky part was when I came to the step of replacing the sensorcable itself.

Mi Consejo

Use time to study the fotos at iFixits step by step and look for the position of the cable when you separate it

Mi Problema

I noticed some degradation in the sound from the earpiece then one day I could hardly hear anything and the earpiece became unusable. I use this phone for my business and needed to be able to speak to callers since this it the main number. I needed something fast and wasn't ready to replace the ph . . .
