Mi Problema

My MacBook Pro developed a noise that sounded a lot like a bad bearing to me. I assumed it was my hard drive so I replaced it with a higher capacity model. That had no effect on the noise. I realized the culprit was the right fan. Oh, well... more storage space is always a good thing.

Mi SoluciĆ³n

After watching a repair video (and having done the drive replacement), the procedure to replace the fan was familiar.

Mi Consejo

Don't forget those two little screws inside the battery compartment that face toward the front of the computer. It's easy to do if you're following the procedure from memory. Leave them in and it will seem that you are just having a little trouble detaching the front edge of the keyboard when actually you are trying to rip those two little screws out of their threaded holes.
