Client had a major cracked screen disaster on her iPhone 3gs

Smooth, other than the insane amount of small glass dust and shards that I had to remove from the plastic casing. Had it torn apart, fixed and working better than ever in about 45 min.

Unfortunately with this particular part, it's not a good idea to get the cheaper ones, as most people don't know how to tell the difference between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS digitizers when they send them to you. They are not compatible with each other and you never know what you're getting when you get a $7-$15 iPhone digitizer online from places like ebay and amazon which are two of my favorite places to go for parts. The wonderful people over at ifixit are definitely THE apple tech specialists and I trust them and their parts and guides for anything apple related, even more so than the apple store. I also love their guides that I wish I had in the past for other mobile electronics that I have worked on before. :)
