Mi Problema

I have 80Gb of photos and well, between that and other files it didn't fit in the 160Gb drive on my bargain 2007 MBP 15". Of course a faster drive is also welcome!

Mi SoluciĆ³n

WAY too many screws and parts to remove to get to the hard drive in the pre-unibody MBP!!!! However, thanks to the step by step guide AND the wonderful screwdriver set, just keep plugging and you'll get 'er done.

Mi Consejo

1) No screw tray for sorting screws? Use tape. If any of those little buggers get away you're hosed. I stuck the screws for each step to a piece of tape and then labeled the tape with the step number.

2) The wires for the IR sensor/drive light tend to hang over the lip of a bay adjacent to the drive. Tuck them down next to the drive or you wont get the deck back on, because it has a flange that wants to go into the bay. You could cut your wires!
