2008 MacBook lcd screen replacement

Mi Problema

Original lcd screen developed a black strip down the middle.

Mi Solución

Repair went well except in the instructions it was specified to use a 6.5 torque to remove hinge screws when a 6 is actually required. Luckily a 6.5 doesn’t exists!

Mi Consejo

Take your time and don’t rush your repair. When using the heat gun to remove glass gradually test it frequently to see if adhesive is loosened when prying up.
