the battery, after being fully charged, even when the ipod was off, only lasted a couple of hours. so i just wanted to bring back the cool little ipod mini and keep it going

the repair went very well...except i was a bit impatient when unplugging the click wheel from the logic board and put a hole in the middle of it....so now the play/pause button doesn't work and neither does the search back button. oh well, for $15 i got the ipod working again and the problems i made can be circumnavigated.
Mi Consejo
be careful when removing the logic board and disconnecting the click wheel. once the battery is plugged in, use some scotch double sided tape to keep the new battery in place (it rattles slightly)
