I took my my mac apart to dry out the inside and or check for water but it was not wet I think most of the water must have got into my screen. My computer comes on but my screen does not. Is there anything I can do about it

I did take my computer apart and let it sit for a few days then tried again. My computer is working now, the screen is fine too. Thanks for your input.

Try replacing the inverter board.

Is it hard to replace the inverter board?
The instructions for installing a new inverter board are 77 steps and rated as difficult. But don't let that deter you! With a little determination, you'll be able to do it yourself.
Thank you for the encouragement, I decided to try and turn it on one last time to find out if everything one would come on and it did. I had a problem with the CD player so my son decided to fix it. When he did he closed the lid thinking it would go into sleep mode and it did but now it won't come on all the way. It's as if it's stuck in sleep mode. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?
So you did no repair, and now have a new problem? You have water damage. Water & electrons don't mix, and mechanical devices seldom "get better" or fix themselves. Water either causes shorts or corrosion. Sounds like the latter has finally set in and killed your machine. At the least, a disassembly and cleaning is required, at the worst, you'll also have to replace some parts.
