iPhone 4 Logic Board problem

Hi guys!

I have been using Ifixit for a while now, but I ran into a problem I’m completely lost. I got this iPhone to repair from a friend, the problem with it is the middle of the screen it does not recognize touch, so you can’t even slide to unlock when it’s on because when you get to the middle it’s like you took your finger off the screen.

ok so first I thought easy fix problem on the screen right? wrong, new screen same problem.

what I did notice is this, someone else opened this iPhone, and the kind of trashed it. lots of screws where missing, I also noticed that near the touch screen cable plug on the motherboard is kind of damaged.

anyway my question is, is there any solutions/ideas for this? other than this screen issue the phone is in perfect condition.
