Screws in LCD Assembly

Hello all,

I have exhausted the forums and google search, but can't seem to find an answer. It has been three days, and I would like to get my iphone assembled.

There are four screws in the lcd assembly which will not turn. The screwdriver just refuses to turn them. It is the same screwdriver I have used to repair three other iphone screens. Nothing.

What I have tried:

1. Superglue(head to driver for torque)2. Pushing from the back of the screw3. Another Screwdriver4. Applying great force to try and turn the screw

Please help before I wear down the screwheads to nothing! I'm about to give up...

Solución Elegida

The only solution I have ever been able to get anywhere with is drilling them out. Get drill bit a little smaller than the head of the screw and then just go gently. As the top comes off you will be left with the body in the hole which you can then either pull the metal midframe out and over or grab the body with tweezers and twist out. Other people have used dremel's to cut a new groove for a flat head screw but as I don't own one of those I just drill out the offending screws.
