Help me about NFC for this model

It's just that my device's screen is broken. I ordered a new set of screens to replace it, but my device's NFC still doesn't work, even though I turned on NFC and added a payment card (before the screen broke). I can still pay with NFC normally, and when I replace the screen, I still use the old components of the device. However, after disconnecting the payment connection for a long time, in order to use NFC, I have to turn on wifi or mobile network to enabled for the first time, or is it because my NFC is broken, but if it is broken, how can I turn on the NFC icon). Please help me answer so I can fix this beloved phone. Thank you
