Battery is stuck in Typhoon H drone

My battery is stuck in the drone. When I try to remove it, it will only come out an inch or so and you can hear and feel that it's stuck on something in the battery compartment.

I removed the top plate but can't easily get access to the battery compartment.

Any suggestions or steps greatly appreciated!
