APC-Schneider Uninterruptible Power Supply - BE700G-UK ES 700

This is a guide to allow you to re-purpose the APC Schneider UPS Be700G-UK (ES 700) to use an external battery to remove the severe limitations imposed by the internal battery and address possible areas of unreliability. It does not prejudice/modify the original design or safety features of the unit, but adds an extra layer of protection.

I installed the power pack as instructed and computer still will not turn on.

@jimhammer your UPS is a Be700G-UK (ES 700)? did your computer turn on before you plugged it into the UPS. Does your computer come on when you connect it to a different outlet? You verified your installation and operation of your UPS with the owners manual? What else have you tried?
