trunck doesn't open
trunk doesn't open
Es esta una buena pregunta?
Hi @aalaal2
Here are some images that show how to lower the rear seat and open the trunk from the inside, so that it is easier to remove the trunk door trim and access the electrical release mechanism i.e. lock, lock motor etc to see what the problem is.

Thank you for the notes on how to open the trunk but I need to open it by pressing the button, how can I do it?
As I said you need to open it manually and then remove the internal trim covering the trunk door so that you can access the lock, lock motor and switch.
Once you can you can check if they're working or not by pressing the button and checking if the voltage signal is being sent to the lock motor to open it etc.
For example have you tried all methods to open the trunk i.e. ignition fob key, central locking button and trunk button
If all three don't work then it may be the lock motor may be faulty. If not it may be a wiring problem between the switch and the bcm (body control module).
Try pressing down on the middle at the bottom of the trunk door and then try open the trunk with the button or key etc. It may be that the lock switch may not be fully operated and this may prevent the lock from working
There's no easy answer for this. You have to know what is or is not happening first before you know where to start looking for the problem.
If you don't have a DMM (digital multimeter) then you may have to contact an auto electrician or a Hyundai dealer.
Thank you so much, that is so helpfull
