Update on QN70Q6DTAF Boot Loop Problem Possible answer

Thank you oldturkey03. I had tried your sequence and no joy at this end. I installed a temporary 65" Samsung mainboard (BN94-17717Q) to test (???) and the screen came alive with a treamendous number of coloured lines. Promissing?

In your opinion, might a new main board in this situation cause this set to come back from being non operative?

Also I noticed a large amount of being emitted from the main processer chip on the old mainboard while in operation. Where as very little heat from temporary board.

As I felt that if the panel (with your expertease) was the problem I would not be losing much with my experiment.

Thank you

@john65845 l'd expect this "I installed a temporary 65" Samsung mainboard (BN94-17717Q) to test (???) and the screen came alive with a treamendous number of coloured lines" Okay, so you get lots of heat of your current main board. That is never good, hence the processors heat sinks are getting bigger and bigger with each new version. Heat is the essential enemy of electronics. Now, those colored lines could be caused by the data lines being totally different then what they are supposed to be, so could be the individual power lines. However, it's definitely something to explore. I would try and find a main board that was meant for your TV and give it a try. Only if the prices is right and if you can return it to the seller without any hassle. The other thing I would do, and this is just what I would do, I'd blast the beastly processor with tons of freeze spray to see if that makes a difference. If frost does not fix it, heat might. Ever considered baking your board :-))? Right now, there really is nothing to lose but a lot to prove. If any of this works, you may just be on to something. Keep a good photo diary.

Again, this comes from a tinkerer and ideologist that, most of the time, has more luck than brains :-)

Thank you once more. I was given TV, so an investment or (gamble) at this time would not be terrible. Time will pass as I await proper replacement board. I will post to forum at that time of replacement.

Cheers

@john65845 yes, do keep us informed.

I will do so.

I did not realize that 1 of the identifying decals was made up of a non paper substance. It did shrink to 1 tenth (?) of its original size with the oven heat. Thankfully it was still readable. "Pictures" would have been a lot wiser, as per one of your suggestions. Hopefully (this) my statement might help anybody trying this "Tinker". I will be receiving my new board in about a week.
