Sometimes a few drops of 90%+ isopropyl alcohol in there and then inserting and rapidly removing the headphones can free this up. If that does not work, you may have to replace the jack. The headphone jack is soldered to the charging board. It is relatively inexpensive and readily available. I would go ahead and replace it. Since iFixit does not yet have a guide for this, use something like this video to accomplish the task.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
