I can’t release my bonnet catch and open my bonnet.

The release cable is detached from the release mechanism and I can’t open the bonnet to rectify this. How can I open the bonnet? 1995 Jaguar XJ8 sport.

Review right sidebar questions first. If not covered, try searching online for Jaguar forums where owners share info and may have better expertise on how to release the hood. There are also youtube videos.
