Check to make sure it is a legitimate battery. Also, if it's dead, it won't turn on. Try charging it, the turn it on again. If it doesn't work, try the old battery again to see if the new one has a fault. Hope this helps!

Try checking to see if there is still protective plastic on the battery copper
