I purchased this laptop (W7604) a couple weeks ago, and out of nowhere this grinding has started. I've removed the bottom and carefully dusted it just to see if that would help, and haven't gotten anywhere. Support has given me an insanely hard time, so it would be nice to know what I should try myself :') Any advice?

@joycatto sounds like a bad fan or the fan blades hitting something wedged between it and the heatsink. So, take it apart and take a look at it. If you can't find any obstruction or damage on the fan Blades, replace the fan. Since iFixit does not have a guide for this yet, use something like this video to get to it.
