Nokia Asha 309/311 (I have 311) USB port damaged

The USB port of my Asha 311 is damaged and doesn't work at all. I had given up hope but I want to give it a shot now. Can it be fixed or not?

@kazam3766 sure it can be fixed. All you have to do is to disassemble your phone. Remove the main board and desolder the old connector. Use something like this video to help you with that.

Now comes the hard part. You will need a replacement connector. The original part number is 54699N3 Do an online search and see if anybody online still has it. I found a supplier right here I cannot tell you if this is an "honest" supplier or if the parts are any good. It's just an example of what is available. If not, you may have to try and purchase an old phone and harvest the connector from that.

It is not a terribly complicated repair but it will require some good soldering skills.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
