Battery submerged, how do I know if it's bad?

My Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro for washed. The buds charge but the case does not. I took it apart, dried it, but don't see any obvious damage. The battery feels puffy could it need replacing? How do I know if it's bad?

Hi @nishawnehinds

By "puffy" do you mean slightly swollen?

If so this is not a good sign. Here's a link that explains it better than I can.

If the battery has been submerged and is "puffy", I wouldn't hesitate to replace it, regardless.

If you decide to replace the battery, please dispose of the old one responsibly. The world will thank you for doing that.

Look for the battery model number (usually shown on the battery itself) and then search online for (insert battery model number) battery to find suppliers of the battery that suit you best. Doing it this way will ensure that you get the correct battery as a replacement.

Thanks so much!

From what I read lithium batteries react when submerged and the buds went through the wash😬. The replacement battery costs as much as a used case. I ordered a used case.
