my laptop is in need of a replacement fan but i have trouble identifying which is for my gpu ad cpu because i want to buy a replacement part and the fans for gpu and cpu are different.

Our best bet to tell would to have a look at the inside of the laptop, there are some hallmarks on the heat sinks. The GPU is usually more square, and the CPU is typically more rectangular. Depending on which GPU is in your machine, the GPU is also larger.
If you want to know for certain, remove the heat sinks. The actual CPU, or more likely the GPU, will have some manufacturer markings you can use to identify.
