battery not detected please help!

ok so i was working on my brothers intel i7 MacBook air and he water damaged it, which broke the keyboard then i poured alcohol which fixed most of the keys besides the shift key and while i was putting the alcohol i unplugged the battery and now when i plugged the battery back in it wont detect it and it keeps safe booting (before if you closed the computer and connected it to a monitor and turned it on it wouldn't safe boot)

Oh boy! You may have made things worse!

A wet system needs to be dried out ASAP! At least pull the battery connection and keep the system cold (but above freezing)

Flooding the system with alcohol doesn’t really fix things all you did was diluted the water down a bit, the minerals within the water is still present and with power you’ve created a perfect environment for corrosion and shorting out logic.

You need to fully open the system wash the parts down with 85% or better reagent grade isopropyl alcohol. The cheap stuff is not clean enough and inspect for damage. It’s likely you will need a few parts.

the water damage happened years ago, i let the alcohol dry for 2 days. but i used 70% alcohol, probably why this happened.
