@rakeldelahuerta what is going on with you screen? Is it just faded or is it physically broken. If it is just faded get a pair of polarized sunglasses and place it over the screen. When you only see the whole screen turning black while slightly rotating the polarized sunglasses, you got a great starting point. Now all you have to do is to rotate the polarized sunglasses 90 degrees. You should now see the complete picture. If so, it is the polarizer on this LCD display that has failed. Those can be replaced.

Try asking this store, he has many parts and some LCD panels

I am assuming for such an old device, they would be very rare to find. I would suggest if you had any important saves on your Game&Watch you may as well buy another one and replace the LCD with the LCD in the new game and watch. I hope this helps, feel free to let me know any other questions :)

Hi @rakeldelahuerta

Try opening the device and check if there's any information printed on the back of the LCD screen itself.

If there is try searching online using that information to see if there are any results for suppliers/manufacturers etc.

Sometimes it's the only way to locate parts especially if the manufacturer of the device doesn't have them available.

Do you mean a small text of information?

@rakeldelahuerta

Normally with most displays there is the manufacturer's information on the back of the display.

This is not the device manufacturer's information but the display manufacturer's information.

Mostly displays are made by specialist display makers and not the manufacturers of the devices that they're used in.

I opened the console and on it the edges of the LCD have some numbers, do you mean that??

- de

@rakeldelahuerta

Yes.

Usually they are the LCD manufacturer's information. Either the part number or something similar.

Search online using the numbers and check for any results. If none try searching for "LCD display (insert the information)"

There are a few different Game and Watch Manhole editions, and I cannot find any solid information on what year yours came out. ("blue" was released multiple times, it seems).

https://youtu.be/5tqD8eFDFIo&t=2m0s

This video shows a disassembly of a Game and Watch (non-Manhole) and you can see the multiple different layers of the screen that give the GaW series it's classic and distinctive visual style that cannot be precisely emulated by just any LCD.

I can't say for certain, but I do believe that your device is similar, in that it has multiple layers and each of those layers is fragile and delicate. (If you want it to work properly, do not do like the man in the video. Wear gloves! Work on a clean surface. If you get fingerprints or other things on some of the layers cleaning them becomes difficult or impossible without making things worse.)

If you take yours apart, be very careful that you note the orientation and placement of all of the various layers.

But as a note, because of these layers all being separate, distinct pieces, it is difficult if not impossible to find "screen" for these devices. You may find a "scenery screen" or "reflector" that you can replace, but I've never found an entire "screen".

What exactly is wrong with your screen that you need to repair? If you've got an issue that is not just "replace one or more layers of the screen", and more like "the electronics are corroded", then the best option is to buy a used console for parts as getting PCBs are practically impossible in my experience.
