Long restart time, bluetooth difficulties, weird issues

So my Galaxy Book2 360 started off great when I bought it. To my knowledge I haven't downloaded any crazy things and I surely haven't done any customizable setting changes. Essentially, this device is pretty stock and receives all the updates as they come.

Explanation of issues:

  • Whenever I initially sync any bluetooth headphones to my laptop, life is great. No problems. Now, when I decide to go outside the bluetooth coverage radius (which, of course, disconnects the devices) or I manually turn off bluetooth mode on my laptop that is where the problems start. If I wish to resync any bluetooth audio device, my laptop will not pair with anything and usually says "Driver Error" or some other excuse. As well, it eventually sort of just locks up and I cannot even toggle on/off the setting for bluetooth mode.
    ****weird add-on issue****
If I just went ended a bluetooth listening session manually, or maybe I walked too far away from my laptop, videos on websites start to bug out. For example, I am a student and listen to lecture videos. When my bluetooth starts acting up, I throw in the towel and decide to just have an aux cord connection. Although, my videos start having loading issues and may not even play anymore. No matter how many times I refresh the page. Just a weird thing to add.
  • The best part: if I decide to "fix" my bluetooth issues, I do the most rudimentary thing: restart the device.
Now this leads to a whole heap of weirdness. If I restart my laptop at any point now a days, it will take many minutes with the initial restarting screen looping on repeat for several minutes (3-5 minutes). Then I am met with the "Sorry there was an issue" blue screen that has that giant sad face on it. Soon after it goes away and I am met with the initial Samsung boot up screen but now with a "BIOS" loading bar at the bottom of the screen as it boots. And after another minute or two, life is back to "normal" as if nothing happened and my laptop works as expected... All up until I choose to end a bluetooth listening session. Then this whole game repeats.

This appears to be some weird software problem. First, run an antivirus scan on your computer. If you don't pay for one, there is a fine one built into Windows called Windows Security. Open up the program, select Virus & threat protection from the sidebar, click scan options, select the full scan radio button and click Scan Now. It'll take about half an hour to run, depending on how many files you have. If the scan says there were no threats, then I would just reinstall Windows. Open Settings, click updates and security and choose the recovery tab. From there, click the Get Started button under Reset this PC. There are options to both keep and delete all your files while Windows is reinstalling. I would do the keep files option, but make sure you create a complete backup to an external drive or the cloud in case something goes wrong during the reinstall. Click through all the dialogue and eventually Windows will start reinstalling. This can take anywhere from a half hour to several hours, depending on the speed of your computer and hard drive. Once it finishes, you may have to run through setup but all your files should (notice I say should, not will) be there. If something went wrong, just restore from your backup.

Good luck!
