Preguntas 873 Ver todo

The charging current is all over the place what's faulty?

The iPhone's charging current is between 0.25A to 0.5A and its constantly changing or jumping up and down. Is this due to the port or the battery?

The voltage is constantly around 5.1V

The port does not snap on anymore, its loose.

The battery does not hold a charge anymore, full charged to drained in less than 30 mins.

This could be a few things, but first I would make sure you charger sits flush with the bottom of your iPhone. If there’s a gap where you can see the metal of the lightning connector, or it connects sort of askew, chances are your lightning port is just full of debris and needs a good cleaning. You can usually get most crud out with a toothpick, just be gentle since the pins inside the port can be damaged.

If all cables are still loose in the port, I would start with a new charge port assembly. And check your battery health in your iPhone’s settings. (Under Battery > Battery Health). If it says Service, the battery should likely be replaced (this could also be an issue with both parts, especially if you have had the phone for a while).

The battery health is 50% and the cable is completely inserted into the port. Which one is the culprit, or is it something else?

Battery would be the thing I checked first. 50% battery health is very low. Apple usually starts to recommend replacing it at 80%
