@lejryqquxf79b6f sounds like you have a stuck lens. Look at it straight on and see if it looks center in the housing. Sometimes dirt, sand and grime can prevent it from opening. In case like that I usually try to use a vacuum cleaner at the front of the lens and try to assist it with that suction, while turning the camera on. Take a look on here for some more information. If that does not work you will have to consider replacing the lens assembly. Start with these guides or use something like this video.

While you replace your lens, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
