Why is there a bright blue stain on my screen display?

Hello, my macbook pro 2019 started to have weird screen color display. I also noticed that there is a bright blue stain on the left part of the screen. When I take a screenshot, or export my designs from Adobe, the colors are fine though. I brought my laptop to Apple service center. They said that my display is defective and needs to be replaced. They are not sure though what caused it.

Is there anything that can be done apart from spending 650 euros to replace the display? Has anyone ever encountered same issue?
