How do you disassemble this blendJet 2?

My BlendJet 2 is not working at all No charging light comes on. I removed the three screws at the bottom and still cannot pry it out. Anyone who has disassembled this model in the past, please let me know how to take it apart.

Remove the little rubber screw hole covers. Unscrew the three screws completely. Use a thin blade to get under the edge of the plastic bottom to gently pry it off of the base.

I have several Blendjet 2 blenders. All of them have developed this difficulty with actually getting the cable to make a connection inside of the base to charge the device. The problem seems to happen within a few months of gentle use.

I used to think it was about water getting inside of the port. Now I think it’s just a poor quality charging connection in there. I’ve looked high and low for a teardown video that really gets into how to repair this particular issue, but I’ve not found one.

I’m about to try myself. I’ll try to remember to come out here and post how it goes. Did you solve your issue?

I removed the four screws inside of the Blendjet 2 that hold the charging port to the base. This allowed me to pull the charging port out of the base and to inspect all of the connections. All of the solder joins that hold the connections to the circuitry board and the batteries appear intact. I really think it’s just a poor quality charging connection.

I find it really irritating, because it’s happened every Blendjet 2 to that I have, and after not very much time. I originally bought three Blendjet 2 devices - one for me, one for my husband, and one for my stepson.

The company did replace the first base when it started to have a charging issue which was a bit different than this one so, I was impressed with that. In that case, the charging light would come on when I plugged in the cable, but the charge would not progress. Instead, the light would just stay at the same half charged indication. For hours and hours.

Now, all of the devices that I have are starting to have this same issue as fontesjohn10 described, whereby plugging in the charging cable does not make the light come on. For me, sometimes I can get it to come on with a lot of adjustment to try to get it just seated perfectly. And now for one of them I cannot make the charging light come on, no matter how much I wiggle and re-position the cable. I’ve tried multiple cables.

Make sure to report BBB.

Same for me—I’ve had every problem under the sun with two different blendjets (#2) in less than a full year. Something about the charging and light build seem to cause a number of various issues. Now my second one constantly has a dull blue light and just ceases to work no matter what.

I made a small project for this because of the charging issues I have. I bought a Qi USB receiver with a 18650 charge module and connected it directly to the battery and made it so that I can charge it using a Qi wireless charger. It does take a bit longer to charge but there is 2 good reason I did it this way. 1 is that the charge port still works the same as usual and 2 is that when it is on top of the wireless charger, It will still charge it while the blender is running.
