Asus VivoBook 15 K513EQ spacebar intermittently not working

Hello. The spacebar on my Asus VivoBook 15 K513EQ intermittently does not work. It appears to work most consistently when I hit it directly in the center and with fairly hard pressure, but this still does not always work, is difficult to pull off every time during normal typing, and will sometimes cause multiple spaces to be entered. Sticky Keys are turned off. Tried blowing it out with compressed air. Not sure taking the key off is safe or advisable and so far I've not been able to find a hardware maintenance manual. Any suggestions?
