Abdul-Rahman Salem this is most commonly indicative of a Hard drive error. The ticking from the drive means that is has an internal problem which is commonly known as "lost servo". The ticking sound is the search arm going back and forth. Check the BIOS on your laptop to see if the drive still shows up on there. You can always try a new cable, check the drives connection in the external case. Sometimes, replacing the HDD controller board can repair this. Ultimately, it sounds like your drive has failed.

@Abdul-Rahman Salem you can't, since it is not working. There is no software for this and do not consider opening the drive either. If the files are important to you, try a data recovery specialist (expensive) to recover those. There is no other way.
