Why my phone turns black but the phone is still running in the bg?

My phone suddenly turns black if the temperature rises. 3-5 mins after opening any game. Sometimes the screen flickers with multiple colors then it turns all black. In able to get it back, I need to open my camera thru the power button but sometimes it doesn't work. So I need to force restart my phone. Is this hardware problem? How do I fix it?
