What caused my ipad pro to shut off mid use?

So I was using my Ipad pro (procreate app) drawing no previous issues, I hadn't recently updated, it is running IOS 15.5, mid use while I was drawing the ipad shut off I tried to do a reboot using the home button and the power button and nothing. I cant even get the apple logo its completely dead. The battery as it shut off was about 18% and it was plugged into the mains while I was using it. The back of the ipad was warm but not hot. What do you think could have caused the issue? Is it a motherboard issue? It has never been dropped, no liquids spilt on it.

It processor is weak

@mahendra here is your chance to shine and to explain this a lot better. What are you referring to when you say "It processor is weak"? What do you mean by that? It might be easier to explain this in whichever language you prefer. Sometimes a lot gets lost in translation.

I moved this from an answer to a comment to minimize the damage ;-)

So I took the Ipad to a repair shop and they told be the motherboard must have had a power surge that essentially fried its brain.

@Becka it's possible. But based on what you said I am likely to think it's probably repairable by the right repair shop. The board itself can be fixed, but not every shop performs those sorts of repairs.

It could definitely be a motherboard issue, but could also be any number of other things, including a faulty battery.

Couple of things I would try. Have you tried other chargers? or plugging it into a computer? You said the back was warm, but not hot. Warmer than usual?

Hard Reset Your iPad

This is often the first thing you should do when dealing with hardware or software issues in an iPad. This is how you can do a hard reset.

On iPad with Home Button: Press and hold on to the Sleep/Wake button and Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo on the screen.

On iPad without Home Button: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Then, press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Now, hold down the Top button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Update your iPad

Updating your iPad to the latest version of iPadOS can also fix the problem. Since Apple often rolls out software updates with a ton of bug fixes and performance enhancements, there is a high possibility that updating the software may be able to fix the random rebooting of the iPad.

Hope This Works,

Peter
