Can I use a ipad 2 battery on ipad 3
I have ipad 3rd gen it's battery is dead
I also have 2nd gen ipad can i use the battery on 2nd gen for the 3rd gen.will it work properly

Unfortunately, you're off by one generation. The batteries for the 2nd and 3rd gen iPads have different part numbers, connectors, voltage, form factor, and vastly different mAh ratings. The 3rd and 4th gen iPads do use the same battery, but the 2nd and 3rd aren't interchangeable.
