Yes. The displays for the 2018 (3rd gen) and the 2020 (4th gen) iPad Pro 12.9" models are inter-compatible. Similarly to iPhones, in order for Face ID to work, you will need to transplant the sensor assembly from the broken display to the replacement one. But other than that, shouldn't be an issue.
