to go or not to go

2016 club car president 48 volts with volt meter. stop cart and sometimes the power goes off(volt meter goes off). driving down road and the power goes off. wait a few minutes and the power may come back on may not. turn the tow switch off and back on and the power comes back on. sometimes only for a few sec. and sometimes for a long time. had it in shop replaced the pedal control worked fine for two rounds then started again. anyone have any ideas on what.s going on????
