phone keeps rebooting to apple logo

ok... I bought a used 3g to take when I travel. phone works well, but wifi was not working. I reflowed wifi chip with heat gun. In the process of putting phone back together I damaged the on/off switch bubble thingy. I ordered this and repaired. I did restore on phone. The phone worked fine for about hour or so and then restarted to only show the apple logo. I did restore several more times. The process goes fine until itunes does the final restart, then goes to apple logo. Now it restarts like every few minutes and is stuck on apple logo. I tried couple methods of restoring, but nothing seems to be working. I then took apart again and reinstalled a new ribbon in the top of the phone...same problem.......Oh...wifi is working now, but phone won't restore to use...lol

You have possibly created several very complex problems for this iPhone. Could be anything. iPhones with no other issues and boot loop problems can be fixed with new battery. I would replace battery.

the phone restores fine in itunes, but when it reaches the last restart it only goes to apple logo and every few minutes it restarts

do what brad suggests... new battery or check battery screw/connections. your symptoms are battery... not enough oomph to boot to load!

I will thanks. These dang phones are crazy...lol. Your saying that there isn't enough power to load, but it all works fine and restores fine. Is this because it needs the battery to reboot and when restoring it boots off of the computer?

I bought and installed new oem battery this morning. I am getting the same problem. Restore gets to last reboot and just cycles off every few minutes and on to apple logo....
