Asus S14 410un HDMI port is not working

I own an Asus S410un 14inch display laptop and its HDMI port is not working I was not able to connect to an external display since its USB-c port is Gen 1 and it doesn’t support screen casting.

The local repair store said that the port could not be replaced since the port is on board. if you have any solutions I would be more than happy to hear.

ps. I have neck problems so I need to use an external display and keyboard.

Download the manual and go to page 36 where it will show you pressing the following keys i.e. hold down the Fn key while pressing F7 or F8

Fn + F7 Turns the display panel on or off.

Fn + F8 Toggles the display mode.

Another thing to try - I don’t have this particular model but it wouldn’t hurt to go into the BIOS by restarting your Notebook and then press during POST.

Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Graphics Configuration” to see if there is a setting for external display.

Is your BIOS updated to v314?

Any errors in the Device Manager indicated by a yellow exclamation mark?

Open Control Panel from Start Menu and click on Device Manager or

On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time to invoke the Run box. Type devmgmt. msc and press Enter to access Device Manager.
