I am currently using an LG M-Disc multi cd/dvd reader/writer drive in my pc, can I use this drive to replace my broken xbox 360 drive which no longer reads my game disks? I know that you have to flash a new xbox drive due to the unique pairing serial numbers that each xbox mother board has with factory fitted drives, but can a regaular pc cd/dvd drive be used for an xbox drive?

No unless your drive has the EXACT SAME chassis because they are developed by the same brand and belongs to the same product family, in which case you can strip it for parts like the laser or the motors.
Which is extremely unlikely to happen.
