I recently replaced a 2nd gen iPod Mini battery with an iFixit battery, which went well. However now when I charge the iPod it will never indicate full battery status and always shows the battery charge status at around two thirds charged. when charging it never seems to finish charging, even when left plugged in for 24hrs straight. Any ideas on what may be going on?

It’s usually just the battery indicator being inaccurate. It might get better after you use it for a while, although iPod battery indicators are always not very accurate.
