While opening the phone, I tore a ribbon attached to the screen / LCD
Can i just replace the ribbon or do i need to replace the entire LCD / Digitizer?

if the ribbon is able to be removed with solder from the digitizer, sure you could replace it. the real problem lies in getting a new ribbon.
that would take some digging around.

It’s certainly possible and there are shops providing this kind of repairs commercially, but if you need to ask, you can’t.

Did you end up being able to replace the cable? I did the exact same thing and I'm thinking of doing the same.
