PS4 controller connects for a split second to PC

Hello,

I have used for at least a year my ps4 controller with Steam using a bluetooth dongle. It worked really fine since steam was doing everything. But after been away for a weekend, it doesn't recognise anything anymore.
Basically, I can connect to the PC but then it disconnects like after a split second. Tried with Mac book and does the same. I thought it was the battery been depleted so I started charging it. I get the orange flashing light but, left it there for hours and still does it when usually it takes like an hour to fully charge. Tried using a brand new usb cable and still the same.

Did it happen to anyone before too?
