Wont accept or eject disc

Hi,

OK, So my PlayStation 4 system beeps and turns on when I try to insert a disc but it won’t pull it in. It makes a sound for a split second that sounds like it was about to attempt something but stops.

I’ve tried multiple discs with no luck. I’ve put the system into safe mode and rebuilt the database, checked for updates and restarted, again with no luck.

I’ve also opened the PS4 and removed the disc drive. Everything looks fine. Everything is clean and the rollers were in place. So I forced a disc into the drive and then used the manual screw to pull it in all the way.

When I put everything back together and booted up the PS4, it was able to spin and read the disc. But when I tried to eject, it made the same sound as when I tried to put a disc in. Its like it was trying to do something but gets stuck.

So, it still reads the disc and can play games but it won’t eject or pull in the disc. I have to manually remove/insert the it with the manual screw.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
