I have a blinking file folder on screen is my ssd shot?

I read through some other questions and answers I haven’t been able to pull anything else up. I’m up for any suggestions. Since the ssd is soldered in does that mean a full logic board repair?

Contesta esta pregunta Yo también tengo este problema

Es esta una buena pregunta?

Its still a bit early to conclude that!

A blinking question mark in the folder is just telling you your OS files are missing or it could be the worse the drive has failed. If your Mac starts up to a question mark

Hopefully you’ve been good at backing up as you may end up not being able to recover anything on the drive.

So I would start your system in macOS recovery and then get to Disk Utilities to see if repairing the drive fixes things. If not then you’ll need to either run Internet recovery to install a fresh OS onto your system or create a bootable external disk if you need to try to recover any of your stuff that’s still on the drive using Time Machine. @matt124 The first thing to do is shut down the mac and press the power button then press and hold the option key button and R keep holding it until you see the mouse and some drives. If you do not see any drives but you see the mouse then it means that the drive cable or the drive itself is bad and needs replacement. If you see two drives. Click on the drive that’s labeled Macintosh HD or macintosh SSD or untitled not the drive recovery.

if the unit boots up great. you can now restart the unit and perform an NV RAM reset which should take the computer back to normal.

If the unit is stuck on the loading screen for longer than five minutes and will not reboot. Restart the mac and select the recovery partition and boot into that. The press and hold command R while pressing the power button is to launch a second recovery partition drive. which is part of the APFS. Once in the recovery UI click on utilities, select the main drive to perform a permission disk repair. Restart the unit then try and reboot the Mac in the main drive again.

@crispuswk just a bit of advise since you are new on here. Be very selective about linking to your own business etc. since that can be considered SPAM. The mission on here is to help others in a public forum not to drive our own business interest etc. Do feel free to do some marketing about your business, skills etc., on the About page of your profile but not in the answers.
