The phone was only a week old. I had it plugged in and the “lightning bolt” on the battery shows it was charging, but it was actually drainingg the battery. I used original charger and tried several others. It shows “charging” for 2 or three seconds after plug in , but will not charge continuously. It is completely dead now.

Same thing happens with my phone. This is kind of a weird answer, but what works for me (my iPhone charger), is that I get is very slightly wet, and then it charges fine
